Who am I?

I thought the best way to start this blog would be by introducing myself.

Hi, i’m A (might reveal my name later at some point haha). I’m an 18 year old British girl and I am currently completing my A levels.

With this blog I hope to explore different aspects of life, whilst sharing experiences from my own. Some days I may tell stories, some days I may show you my art and start discussions. But today I thought I should begin with telling you all about myself.

If I had to describe myself in five words I would say: daydreamer, loud, shy, enthusiastic and procrastinator.

A daydreamer is described as

‘a person who often thinks about doing something else or being somewhere else, instead of paying attention to what is happening where they are now’

– according to the Cambridge Dictionary.

Basically that ^

Now I know what you’re probably thinking: how can one be loud and shy? But that’s just the beauty of being human. When I’m with people I know and enjoy spending time with, the loudest person present is usually me! In fact, there have been times when teachers have asked me to be quiet in lesson because I’ve ended up shouting without realizing. On the other hand, in front of others that I don’t know or don’t know too well, I become a timid mouse who doesn’t know what to say or do. I’m still trying to figure out why that is…

This is so weird but it sums up what it’s like sometimes hahah.

‘Man is not truly one, but truly two’– that’s from The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. It’s not that I personally relate to Jekyll/Hyde or anything. But my point is that it’s interesting how someone can be described in two completely opposite ways whilst being the same person.

As I said, I’m quite enthusiastic about most things I do, whether it’s school work, art or even helping others. I’ve realised however that I haven’t exactly been as hard-working and conscientious as people think I am. I definitely do put some effort into my work however a lot of the time I end up doing well just because. It doesn’t make sense but I can’t even complain because it’s worked! Until GCSE that attitude was fine, A-Levels however require much more time, concentration and hard work- which we have all understood at this point.

So now I always like to do the best I can and put as much effort into my work as possible. As they say, ‘hard work always pays off’.

However, it is also true that I am a procrastinator. Yes I do spend a lot of my time watching Sidemen videos or searching up things like how violins are made, but it is also true that I always manage to get all my work done eventually.

I also enjoy making miniatures and jewellery with polymer clay, reading lol, writing short stories and digital drawing. I hope to post some of my art here on this blog soon.

That’s it for now really! I hope you all have a great day!

Oh and I forgot to say- go subscribe to the Sidemen
